Check Your Textbooks!

Dear Mr. Principal,
I believe our textbooks NOT teaching us what we need to know, they are leaving out a lot of history, which in Unacceptable! In this case teachers should inform us students with the facts that are not listed, such as the Rape of Nanking. Topics such as this may be "denied" or censored, but we are big boys and girls now, we can take it. The Rape of Nanking was a tragic event, the Japanese invaded Chine, killing off many....but in horrible ways, such as beheading, which they took as a game. They also had the fathers rape the daughter, while the sons raped the mothers. Another awful event that is NOT LISTED in textbooks happened in Chechnya, Russia. Where men between the ages of 15 and 49, faced the threat of theft, beatings, arrest, and murder by Russian soldiers by going door to door in search for rebels. Therefore don't leave out key events that have happened and the world will be a better place, haven't you heard of history repeats it's self?
Sincerely,
Julia

Sacco and Vanzetti :(

SACCO AND

VANZETTI

There is absolutely NO WAY I would support Sacco and Vanzetti. After killing innocent people, I say, BOO! Stewart and The District Attorney Frederick Katzmann questioned Sacco and Vanzetti, as the men lied to each, saying they had no knowledge of Boda or Coacci. We even have facts to back this up, Katzmann found out that on April 15th Sacco was not at the Three-K shoe factory where he worked. Which leads to the assumption of the men being responsible for the Braintree murders.

Francis Russell decided to examine the evidence in the Sacco- Vanzetti case very well. He would start assuming they were innocent but later found out only Sacco was guilty. But hasn't everyone heard the term "if you are with the people who committed the crime, you are guilty as well."
Although I do not agree with what they did what so ever I do not think they should be killed. I think they should have a life sentence in jail. ESPECIALLY when the man did not commit the crime. Sacco should have a life sentence in jail but Vanzetti should only be in jail for a few months or years. People should use their heads and not their toys (guns, electric chairs, etc.) If things were actually fair there would not have been protesters in the streets of six continents, over 5,000 protesters destroying all things American, and there would not be those poor six deaths in Germany.

My Beautiful and AMAZING Poem!

Prohibition was the start of the roaring twenties.
Red Rum was Not Allowed!
Organizations consiting of woman and children were mad.
Hitting was a side- effect of alcohol.
It is illegal to drink alcohol.
Buying is illegal as well.
Import was not allowed
Twentieth century was the start of Prohibition.
Islamic Law made it forbidden.
October 28th, 1919; legal definition of intoxicating liquor, as well as penalties for producing it.
Never to taste Alcohol AGAIN! (...or so we thought!)

Raise your dress.
Or your skirt.
Above the knees.
Revealing a new look.
Ignighting the Great Depression.
Negative words.
Girls change to Flappers

Two different classes; social and urban.
Wake of World War 1.
Economic growth.
New products and technology.
Tolerance towards other groups
Immigrantion laws.
Expressionism and Surrealism.
Speakeasies become popular.

Pro Evolution!

Religion vs Evolution

The Butler Act does not violate church and state or state religion laws but instead, merely prohibits the teaching of evolution on the grounds of intellectual disagreement, and leaves the only non-religion specific option as creationism.

I believe Evolution should be taught in schools, and not religion. When teaching religion although you can teach every one, just to inform the students, one individual may persuade another, or may even offend one. Evolution is science and does no harm to oneself what so ever. If you want to learn about a religion go to church, or go to a private school devoted to the religion of your choice.

WANTED! BAD GUYS!

I learned many of the gangsters were considered evil because they robbed somewhere, usually leading to the death of some innocent people. Many Crimes involved just one single person, some involved multiples. Each gangsters had a nickname which resembled them; Baby Face or Machine Gun Kelly. These presentations were very interesting learning about the big crimes that took place years and years ago.
